Week 5: A Walk Around The Yard

A Walk Around The Yard, originally uploaded by Visions By Vicky.

I planned to take a photo at school today and got busy and never took one so I put my 50mm 1.4 lens on my camera and took a walk in the front and back yards. I couldn't decide which photo I liked best so I created a collage of three.

The rose is on one of our mini rose bushes which are located in the front of the house right beside the garage.

We used to have a tree in our front yard but that died years ago and we now have a variety of plants in that planter. The brown/beige plant is one of them. Anyone know what it is? I really liked the textures in this.

Last but not least is one of the oranges on the orange tree we have in the backyard. Our oranges are very yummy and we still have quite a few left on the tree. I think I may just have to eat that one!

I used Photoshop for the collage. Resized the 6x4 horizontal pictures to 4.5x3 and combined them with the 4x6 vertical picture. I added inside strokes to each picture to get the framing around each picture. Added some text, flattened and saved it.
